kitchenette

it occurred to me, as we are in the midst of this messy-as-hell move, how much i miss bea and shae. they helped us out so much during our last major move, from birmingham to san francisco, and unpacking the kitchen stuff last night reminded me sharply of that time. finland is so far away. i’m comforted by the fact that they are doing so well, and that together with tony and the assorted cats they are one big happy family.

queasy, my coffeemaker, is content in its new home. it produced a nice thick pot of extra-strong coffee this morning, which i am still nursing: the soup that eats like a meal.
