gay sims

I threatened to make Sim people out of some of my friends, and I did. I had no idea they’d actually enjoy me torturing them this way!

Tonight I was curious about the probability of two of the male Sims hooking up and having a child. I did some research and found several websites dedicated to gay Sims: The Gay Sims Homepage, GaySims, and Queer as Sims. I keep seeing mentions of “The Closet” as a great gay Sims site but the links to it are dead.

As it turns out, gay Sims couples are given the option to adopt but not to have a child. Same-sex Sims couples can move in together but they don’t get the quickie wedding that heterosexual Sims couples get. And Sims who are involved with more than one Sim romantically should be careful — Sims are, by default, quite jealous. I guess there’s no polyamorous patch.

    I just finished reading an article in Scientific American that offers statistical evidence that supposedly parallel universes indeed exist. The idea that there could be two (or more) Halsteds totally boggles my mind :-)

    i have a custom skin of me… scary but true. Looks frightening like me, but i suppose that it should.

    You know, jess has Sims, and she very appropriately created characters after each of us. Well, as it happens, the main girl in the Winnabago family fell in love with the main girl from the Slushypipp family, and went over to ask her to move in with her. BUT THEN THE PROGRAM CRASHED! Indiana was definately better off with Ms. Slushypipp than with “Guy Winnabago”. But the Sim program would never let them be together. *sigh*

    Yet another thing we have in common… though I haven’t played the Sims in a few months (got bogged down with school). I did get so into it, that I had to create my friends in the game so that I wouldn’t be so lonely playing the game. My favorite thing about the game is building and decorating a new house. Obviously, this requires a money cheat, but that’s what keeps me interested in the game… whether or not this or that couch goes with cherry or blonde hardwood floor!
