Okay, I’m impressed. I have so many bookmarklets that I need a bookmarklet manager … and one exists! And it’s good!(tags: bookmarklets)

I love OneBag for how opinionated and off-the-wall its suggestions are. Contrasted with the general survey type of packing advice, it gives explicit reasoning, experience and judgment behind every recommendation. Definitely not: “Packing method #19: My friends Archie and Mildred eliminate wrinkles by rolling the shirts up from lapel to hem, then stuffing them into the legs of pants, rolling the pants up like rolling your tongue, and gluing them securely to the bottom of the suitcase with spirit gum. I haven’t tried it, but it sounds like a swell idea!”
I don’t think I have the courage or need to bring a sarong to a youth hostel and I haven’t brought bow ties and a cardigan on a business trip, but I felt very fond of its advice when I was standing on a #7 NYC Subway elevated platform watching the snow fall, wearing all the individually innocuous LA-weight layers in my carry-on and staying pleasantly warm after I’d been rerouted and separated from my luggage.
Sometimes a biased polemic is more valuable than an even-handed survey.
