Yesterday was one of those days, the kind I could call “bad” but really wasn’t bad. It was merely challenging. It walked up, shook my hand, and said, “You’re going to need to work at me, but when your head hits the pillow tonight and the cat curls up on your lungs, it’ll all be worth it.” It did not, however, indicate to me that rolling out of bed this morning at 6 would be worth it. I could be a morning person if mornings didn’t come so early. As it turns out, managing people is both ridiculously easy and stupefyingly hard.
