bone of collars
After a very relaxing weekend, I am feeling much better. The gas smell in my office increased drastically last week, and on Wednesday afternoon I got a splitting non-migraine headache and nausea. Just before midnight Thursday morning, and through Saturday afternoon, I had all manner of gastrointestinal and cranial distress, including but not limited to stomach (esophageal?) cramping to the point of preventing me from sleep. The “lie on your left side” trick I learned from tyee worked only part of the time, leaving me beyond uncomfortable from the sternum down. The headache left me beyond uncomfortable from the neck up. Really, for the past four days, the only part of me that has felt 100% has been my collarbone.
Anyway, the gas smell is being dealt with at work, and I spent good recuperation time with Zen watching “Buffy” and “Angel”, and then the MSG cooked me Kobe-style hanger steak and asparagus and Acme baguette, and we rewatched two awesome movies (“Trainspotting” and “Harold and Maude”). So I think I’m fully recovered now. It sucked to have my entire body just spaz out like that. Except for my collarbone. Good old collarbone. Bone of collars. I can depend on you.
Now on to bigger and better things, like sitting upright for an hour at a time, or even recording podcast episode #2!
