I soooooooo get this post. I usually don't have a problem because I'm a big guy.

However alot of the students who close get alot of attitude from scumbag students who want to passive agressively keep the library open later.

One student worker couldn't close the library for an hour because a cadre of students were being bastards, turning the computers and copiers back on,and complaning (To a fellow student??) that the library needed to be open later.

I had to have a sit down with security and the managers of the library, and have a little talk.

I usually walk up with my finger near the power button and say "save it or lose it" that get's the message across real quick.

We were having major issues with this for a while... students were often not able to use comptuters because we had so many random people just sitting at them all day long. Eventually we had our library systems office change the security on the computers so that you were required to have a Yale NetID to log in to use the computers. Out of the ~30 computers in the library, 6 have been left public. It's helped relieve the problem a LOT.
