little earthquakes

It has been six and a half years, and I am still not used to feeling even a little earthquake.

Just around 05:25 this morning, my bedroom, the flat, the whole building went all wobbly for a few seconds. Wobbly! This still blows my mind. For a few more seconds more, my ceiling fan wobbled. Then all was still.

Zen slept through it. I wonder if I would have too. It had a magnitude of 4.7 and was centered far southeast of the City. Did you feel it?

I slept through this one, but usually I wake up and have no idea why.

The first time I noticed an earthquake, I initially thought it was my housemates having REALLY energetic sex in the next room. And then I remembered that their bed did not actually touch the wall that was shaking.
