Glad ya got settled in! Sounds like you live on an interesting street indeed. Although I would not wish all that noise on ya! Oh, yeah, your twitter on Paris and the iPhone... it's True! And I just wrote the Unauthorized Paris Diary (posted on my site): http://blogtopicz.com/item/2007/06/the-unauthorized-paris-diaries

It takes time to get accustomed to a new place. I remember my first apartment on my own, and it is a time of discovery not only about your new enviornment, but also about you. I know you are going to have a great time with it all! You're awesome!

That, my friends, is what I feel like I’ve just done.
And it feels fantastic.

New beginnings are a great scary, excited, explosive feeling.

I love this place too, including the guys who talk to themselves and the folks who spend their days on the benches in Washington Square Park, the trendy people in bars who are trying too hard to impress and the grandparents walking their grandkids home from school. Mostly I just love the energy and the food and the way we can walk up to Pacific Heights and down Fillmore to Japantown and back home on a Sunday and see the motley collection of folks who call this place home.

Hope your joy in your new digs continues unabated.

I will likely never know what living in my own place in a large city
feels like, but I agree that new beginnings/new adventures in
famililar or unfamiliar places can be wonderful new fun
experiences!
I hope that the way you feel right now only gets exponentially
better as time goes along. I look forward to hearing about it and
hopefully partaking in some of it at least vicariously.
Love you and miss you! But so terribly glad you are well and
happy!

New beginnings are wonderful aren't they? I loved living on the west coast and visiting the bay area. I used to drive up to Santa Cruz back before the quake and down to Carmel. You are a brave soul to live in the city, but life will never be boring, that's for sure. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

I hope you have a wonderful time in San Francisco. I like to go over to visit the book stores and symphony. The library is interesting too although you can't exactly get comfortable in there. It is sort of like being in a revolving spectacular elevator.

You torti is really beautiful and I enjoyed hearing your tale of how she came into your life.
