i have heard nothing but good things of edinburgh, and i think last year it was voted best city in the uk or something. can’t wait to visit it myself, and it sounds like it’ll be a grand trip for you two!

I was last in Scotland in 2003, for a long weekend. Most of it was spent exploring the north coast, and the north west highlands. The highlands remind me of a miniature California in many ways.

Wow, I envy you both. Scotland is one place I never got to when I was living in Germany from 2000-2004, and I have Scottish ancestry, so it’s still high on my list today. I’ll definitely keep tabs on your trip and hope for lots of updates and pics. Enjoy yourselves and be safe!

Delurking to say: wow, Scotland! It has been at the top of my list for years, and hopefully I will get to go next year. Enjoy your trip. I, too, have the wanderlust, and yet, I can’t seem to ever get away.

Also, FunkyPlaid totally looks like a photobomber in that last pic. =:-o
