Sunday scent report ._.-. Russian Caravan tea, cherry blossom hand cream, cat fur, neroli eau de parfum, petrichor. # My weekend began with a candlelit bath and foot rub from @FunkyPlaid and ended with a massage from Karly of @apothecasf. Yes! # Good morning, single-car N-Judah during rush hour. Again. Less than a mile into your route and completely packed. Again. #munifail # And the next N-Judah has more than a few seats out of commission (read: soaked with water) because of air-conditioning leaks. #munifail # Right when I need work to be calm and smooth, it is the exact opposite. Murphy and his frickafrackin' law. # Licensed to ill! I mean wed! RT @FunkyPlaid: Signing on the dotted line. Almost official! http://twitpic.com/2qo02y # Intestinal cramps:...

three weeks to go

Three weeks from right now, I will be an old married lady. Well, okay, I’ll be married. Everything right now is a blur, a happy blur for the most part, as everything converges on the event. Because I have spent so much time exactly where I am right now — on my laptop in the living room, organizing and chugging through this mass of information — I feel like I should give a few technology shout-outs, especially since I have churned through many, many tools over the past year. I am fairly sure that my biggest challenge in grad school is going to be learning when to stop tweaking the assignment before turning it in. # My avg. daily #fitstats for last week: 4,987 steps, 2 miles, 1,800 calories burned via my fitbit http://www.fitbit.com/user/22D4J8 # First grad school lesson learned: no amount of library experience can change the fact that I am a giant dork on camera. (Yes, yes, and off.) # Gmail's Exchange burps make me long for MobileMe to be awesome already. C'mon, Apple. I'm rooting for you! # I am trying to tell you how hard my "Horns of Love" '80s playlist rocks via iTunes Ping but I can't figure it out. Just take my word for it. # The HMO is hopping today! It's a dance party! Without the...

thirty-eight

Thirty-eight days until the thing that I cannot stop thinking about or talking about happens! I am very excited for this thing to happen, because it is an amazing thing, but then also because it means that all the thing-planning is over and I am firmly in thing-afterglow, which I hear is a mighty fine afterglow indeed. I am contractually obligated* to post today because of the 38-Geary bus line, which was the reason why I first adored Muni so much. This is a mystery, even to me. Quite frankly, the 38 is kind of a pain in the ass. It is slow and always smells off and even its accordion middles fail to charm its beleaguered passengers. I don’t have a point here. Not that this place has ever been Point Central, but I really don’t have a point. This is...
