But we can't.  The best we can do is love those around us as well, as strongly as we can and do our best to kiss away the eyerolls. He was a Birman and yeah it's scary when you don't know what it is the first time. We ended up putting him on phenobarbitol which seemed to help a good deal with the seizures. It embarrassed him more than anything it seemed though like others mentioned he would be a bit disoriented and need to drink a lot after one of them. He hated making a mess and he would drool a lot and then pee himself too. Poor old cats. We love them so much and it's so hard to see them decline.
