I am used to having a job to keep me centred. Without one, I can get a little lost, a little scattered. I have many commitments and interests, but my identity was very wrapped up in my job. It helped me push past my introversion and my tweaky fiddly bits.
I have to learn how to just be, for the first time in my life. Some days are great, with lots of productivity and certainty, and some are less than great. Some days I grasp for things I know how to do even if I don’t want to do them, just to do something that I don’t mess up.
