Before I tasted the meal we prepared last night, I was still pretty excited about it. Sure, I didn’t have the right kitchen tools for the spinach, mushroom, and beef sliders recipe — regrettably, those are all safely in storage in another country — but I liked the premise and I had worked hard on it. FunkyPlaid gamely fried up all of the little burgers and I snapped this photo before trying them out.
They weren’t terrible, but they certainly didn’t taste very good. And so it goes in the kitchen sometimes. Also, this was my first time cooking with coconut oil, which smells a lot like being out on the beach too long.
