It seems like I have been trying to complete this Couch to 5K training forever. Today I finished the seventh week of nine, and decided to celebrate by signing up for my first race, the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run 5K. (ETA: I’ve signed up to fundraise for their charity, Diabetes UK. Please give if you can.)
As you can see, I am not fast. I am, however, stubborn, and admittedly pretty excited about this. The race is three weeks away. Wish me luck!

- Those of you who have always had a kind word about my long and convoluted 5K training journey. I never did do things the easy way, and I appreciate the lack of eyerolling.
- Zombies, Run! It is entertaining and effective and downright creepy.
- Homemade spaghetti sauce.
